Children's Ski Instruction

Skiing is fun!
Starting in January every year, the Ski Club runs a "Jackrabbit"
learn-to-ski program for children.
Taught by certified instructors, the emphasis is for the
children to learn to have fun on skis.
When? Where? How much?
Lessons are on Saturdays at the Doug Barnes Cabin, starting 2 p.m.
For insurance reasons, students must become members of the Ptarmigan
Nordic Ski Club. Children's membership fees are $15 for the
year (or $40 for the entire family). Jackrabbit fees are $15 per
child for the series of 8 lessons. Children's skis are available for
the season for a deposit of $50.
Parent Involvement
Parents are expected to help with clothes and equipment, joining
in classes and games, and arranging refreshments. Parents are
also encouraged to become certified instructors by taking the
training courses arranged by the Ski Club.
