PROGRAMS & MEMBERSHIPS

All users of the Birchwood Trails are encouraged to become a member of our Club - novice and advanced, occasional and regular, recreational and competitive.

An active membership is required to register for any of our programs.

 

​Our youth programs are aimed at teaching kids how to ski in a fun environment.

 

All members are welcome to participate in club events including family skis, evening skis, loppets and back-country trips.

MEMBERSHIP details

To become a member, fill out a membership form online in the link above.

Memberships run from July 1 – June 30, annually.

 

There are a number of membership options:

Child Membership (up to 16 years old, youth programs):

  • $30/season + $22 insurance fee

  • Do not register for a single child membership if your dependent is in a family membership.

Adult Membership (17 years and up - not under family membership): 

  • $35/season + $22 insurance fee

Family Membership (2 adults + dependents under the age of 21): 

  • $50/season + $22 insurance fee (per person)

Membership includes trail usage, warm up cabin (when open), participation in "Fun Days" , Adult ski rentals, Masters skiing and recreational skiing.

There will be an added $22 fee per member for Nordiq Canada and Nordiq AB fees.

Benefits of a Membership:

Your membership provides access to ski rentals for family, warm up cabin (when open), liability insurance while on trails, discounts through Nordiq Canada, early notification for program registration, two free lessons and free rentals for adults, and participation in “fun days” and social ski events. A membership also supports grooming of Birchwood Trails.

WINTER SNOW programs

PNSC youth programs are designed around Sport Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development 

principles and Nordiq Canada’s program guidelines. 

The objective of the program is for participants to learn basic cross-country ski skills, to instill a lifelong interest in the sport.

BUNNY (4-5 years old)

jackrabbit (6-9 years old)

Track attack (10-14 years old)

Youth recreation (10-16 years old)

Youth development (10-18 years old)

Current PNSC membership is required to participate in all youth programs.

 

Please ensure you fill in youth's name and date of birth the same as on your PNSC membership to ensure you will not be charged the Nordiq Alberta and Nordiq Canada insurance fees again.

ADULT programs

PNSC Adult programs are designed around Sport Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development

Adult lesson registrations for the 2024/2025 Season:

Registrations for the 2024/2025 season will open in summer 2024.

Current PNSC membership is required to participate in all adult programs.

BiathlonS

PNSC Biathlon programs information to be released at a future date.

Current PNSC membership is required to participate in all Biathlon programs.

NO SCHOOL FRIDAY camp

Join PNSC on No School Fridays for Nature & Ski Camp!

Active Fun for youth between 6 - 10 years old.

Calling all JackRabbit skiers!

 

PNSC will be doing active outdoor learning of skiing skills, balance and agility, general fitness through games, exploring the trails while expanding knowledge of the nature around, developing friendships and learning to work individually on skills and as part of a team

 

Summer 2024 schedule and cost will be announced at a later date.
